Charcuterie (pronounced "shahr-ku-tuh-ree") is a French term for a branch of cooking devoted to prepared meat products, such as salami, pepperoni, prosciutto, & mortadella. Today, Charcuterie boards have been tailored to include a variety of cheeses, spreads, and accents that compliment the prepared meats. An ideal board has a good balance of flavors and textures and has items that contrast and complement each other.
